The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
Goals and Objectives:
To assist those interested in inquiring about the Catholic Church in the process of Inquiry, catechesis, sacramental preparation (Baptism, Confirmation and/or First Eucharist) and post baptismal catechesis, through the Rites of Christian Initiation of Adults, for adults and children of the age of reason (age 7 and older). Here at Church of the Ascension, the RCIA process is part of Catechetical Ministries.
RCIA/RCIC Team Member:
The RCIA/RCIC team at Ascension walks the journey to full community membership with our adult candidates for baptism or their profession of faith. The requirements to be an RCIA team member are a willingness to share your faith journey with others and the desire to serve others as they consider joining the Catholic Church. Training in the process and resources are provided.
Meeting Days and Times:
The ministry members meet as needed. Those served by this ministry meet weekly.
