High School Youth Ministry
Welcome to High School Youth Ministry! We’re ready to have an exciting year with lots of Fun, social, stewardship, service, and spiritual activities. There is a lot of planning just for YOU!!! Yes, all are welcome to help plan!!! Any youth, grades 9th thru college aged students, and Adults are welcome to participate on a volunteer basis. This is a great opportunity for all to become involved in our church and give back not only to yourself but to others, as well. You will notice that we say YOU, because this, above all else, is a family ministry.
We truly hope that you take time to reflect on being part of this ministry. Allow yourself to be part of something really exciting in your very busy schedules. Please bring your friends!!! You can’t find this just anywhere — not at school, on a sports team, dance or on television. Church of the Ascension High School Youth Ministry is a place you can call home and increase your friendships and family’s size ten fold.
We could not be effective Youth Leaders if it were not for the enthusiasm and the cooperation of the parent(s). Youth Ministry is planning some great stuff. Parents and adults are encouraged to attend as well, there is lots to do…from chaperoning, driving, cooking, supporting, sharing, retreats and/or just plain social fun!!! We have an open door to all families, and we encourage parental participation and welcome your involvement. Our objective is to have all families participate in some way through the year. If you have a talent, gift or skill you would like to share, please let us know.
We make these two very serious promises to you: we promise to support you, the primary educators of your child; and we promise to take seriously our role as your student’s Youth Leaders. Together, we can have a wonderful year, learn more about Jesus and grow closer to Him.
