Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist Ministry

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist are commissioned to serve within the parish in which they are registered. Here at the Church of the Ascension, our Extraordinary Ministers are assigned either as Eucharistic Ministers at our Eucharistic Celebrations or as Pastoral Ministers of Care who visit the sick, the elderly and the homebound in hospitals, nursing homes and private homes as needed — all must be under the jurisdiction of our parish.

This ministry is open to women and men, age sixteen and above, who have been fully initiated. They should be practicing Catholics, in good standing with the parish community, and possess a love of the Eucharist. Formation is provided.
