BeFriender Ministry

Befriender Ministry Member Information

"The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing, and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is the friend who cares."  —Henri Nouwen

This is a perfect description of our trained BeFriender ministers who will be happy to listen with compassion without giving advice, and allowing you to make your own decisions without trying to decide for you. Everything is held in confidence. If you are facing grief, transition, loss of job, or whatever is causing your anxiety and helplessness, and you need a "friend" to talk to, please call the BeFriender ministry.
